Did somebody say CHEEESE?

I have no idea why Colter has started doing this but I think it is hysterical. I had to share my little cheeser with everyone. :)

Mini Marathon, here I come!

I've always wanted to do the mini marathon that is held here in Indianapolis, In. but never quite got around to it! Well, I've decided to go for it in May 2009. I figure if I start training now I might be ready by then. I have never been a good runner, sometimes even refereed to as a duck when I run, LOL. Who cares I say...there are so many people I'm sure I wont be the only one who looks like a fool. :)

If any of you runners have any tips for me I would appreciate all of them. So far I'm up to running about two miles then I walk/run a third...I know I have a LONG way to go but you have to start somewhere, right? (think positive, jessica) : )

I will keep everyone updated so you can hold me accountable! Heck, I might even run with the triple stroller in tow, that would be fun! Now I better go before I make anymore promises! ha

BTW, if there are any other trip moms from Indy or close that would like to join me...let me know! I'm pretty sure the race is close to being sold out so you'd have to hurry!

Nice Comment from a Mom at On the Border

On our little excursion out yesterday we ate lunch at On the Border a mexican resturant. The boys were SO good the entire time.

On my previous post I talked about all the crazies but also wanted to post a comment someone made to me that really made my day.

I was walking out with the boys and this young mom said, your kids are precious and so well behaved. I have three as well, not the same age of course and I have NEVER got through a lunch like that. I just wanted to tell you that you really must be doing something right with them.

I'm not sure why but that really made me feel good and I wanted to share.

Freak Show at Marshalls

Come one, Come all there is a freak show at Marshalls!

Yesterday, Aunt Kara and I took the boys out to lunch, target, borders and then Marshalls. We made it through the first three stops with only a few ridiculous questions and comments. The normal, are they boys or girls...well lets see...they are all wearing blue (is that any indication), OMG there are three of them...great job you can count, you must have your hands full....REALLY, huh?

Then we went to Marshalls, we really should have stopped while we were still ahead. We made it through the first isle with only a few people stopping me. The back of the store the same, a little sweet older lady who was buying for her new grandson.

When we got to the check out lane, now this was a different story. The cashier saw them and said..."Are all three of those yours?". I responded with "yes". She then said, "All the same age?" I again responded with "Yes". Then it was ON. She literally yelled for every other employee in that store. We had a HUGE crowd around us! As people were walking in she was yelling...did you see the triplets, they are SO RARE, LOL. Then I had to again answer all of those dreaded questions once again. Did you do fertility? I bet you have your hands full. yada yada yada

Will teething ever end?

We are only at the beginning and it already seems like it has been going on for months! Sean asked me the other night if only the first tooth through hurt then the rest were easy and painless? LOL! Of course he was kidding or maybe it was just a little wishful thinking.

I'm not sure if most kids do this but they have two at a time coming in. Cale now has two teeth with two more pushing through, Colter has two that just came through and Mr. Cooper has two level with his gums you can feel one of the two already but again there are two! Hopefully, they will continue to get two at a time to speed up this process!

I'm pretty sure they will be ready to eat a steak in no time!

A couple questions about the song...

I have had a few people ask me questions about this song.

This song is by Craig and Dean Phillips. Its on Christian radio a lot and we've sang it at our church before.

If you want to hear it:

I hope you all enjoy!

Thanks, Tripletdad7!

I found this on Scott's (Tripletdad7) blog and just had to put it on mine. Thanks!

I've heard this song many times prior to having children and have always loved it. This time when I read it on Scott's blog it REALLY hit home. I hope others read it and feel the same. God has blessed us with three healthy babies that I am so grateful for. I hope each time they look at me and see my actions or hear my words they can be proud of me as a mommy. I will always make sure they understand how God us blessed our family and continues to play the lead role in our house.

He climbs in my lap for a goodnight hug
He calls me Dad and I call him Bub
With his faded old pillow and a bear named Pooh
He snuggles up close and says, "I want to be like you"
I tuck him in bed and I kiss him goodnight
Trippin' over the toys as I turn out the light
And I whisper a prayer that someday he'll see
He's got a father in God 'cause he's seen Jesus in me

Lord, I want to be just like You
'Cause he wants to be just like me
I want to be a holy example
For his innocent eyes to see
Help me be a living Bible, Lord
That my little boy can read
I want to be just like
You'Cause he wants to be like me

Got to admit I've got so far to go
Make so many mistakes and I'm sure that You know
Sometimes it seems no matter how hard I try
With all the pressures in life I just can't get it all right
But I'm trying so hard to learn from the best
Being patient and kind, filled with Your tenderness
'Cause I know that he'll learn from the things that he sees
And the Jesus he finds will be the Jesus in me
Right now from where he stands I may seem mighty tall
But it's only 'cause I'm learning from the best Father of them all

Me and Auntie Kara

Here is Auntie Kara and I before heading to the Sugarland concert...as promised pics of Auntie!

Brotherly love...most of the time.

The boys are really starting to interact with eachother and its so much fun watching their different personalities. They are all so different!

Colter is extremely laid back He rarely cries, only when he is tired or hungry.
Cooper is the fussiest. He's still very smiley but LOVES being held. He's also a mama's boy...big time.

Cale is the misceavous one, he's into everything and loves to antagonize his brothers.
They are all still learning how to share which they will have to get really good at!

Before:

After:

They are on the move...

Two of the three boys are moving around like crazy. They are army crawling like pros just mostly backwards!

I left then in our bedroom on a blanket while I was fixing bottles. I never leave them for long but I guess I was feeling a little brave today.

As I was fixing the third and final bottle, I heard Cale screaming at the top of his lungs. I ran in there but Cale was no where to be found. He had back up underneath our king size bed...I could barely get him out as he was screaming. He had done this one other time but didn't make it all the way to the middle. Its was funny seeing his brothers look at him like that were saying...haha...look what you've got yourself into! Your on your own!
Cale is definitely going to be our most mischievous.

My little munchkins

I really can't believe how fast they have grown. Its amazing. A few people have asked me to post some early pictures so here you go. This seems like just yesterday.

Fun in the Sun with Uncle BRIAN!

My little brother came over the weekend before last to help in our yard...THANK YOU BRIAN! He was a huge help and it was nice he got to spend sometime with the boys. My dad came along as well and ended up COVERED in poison ivy!

Brian just moved to Indy and is single ladies if anyone is interested. He enjoys long walks on the beach, candle lit dinners and playing a lot of basketball! :) He has a job which is always good, is in school for his masters and best of all he loves his cute little nephews!

He looks a little scruffy in this picture, I guess he didn't think he would have to dress up to come do yard work...little did he know I would be posting his picture to try and play match maker. We are all sick of feeding him and really want him to find a nice girl. hehe Please post a comment if you are interested...he is going to kill me! LOL

I found this on another Triplet Mommy's site and thought it was too funn!

How to talk to a Triplet Mom!

Before talking to a triplet mom there are a few things you should know.

1. You must know how to count. Please, please look carefully and count from 1 to 3. If you only see 2 babies then the mom has twins not triplets. If you count all the way up to 3 these are called triplets. Not twins. Three babies is not twins! Some of you are laughing but I can't tell you how often we correct this mistake and by grown people - not kids.

2. Inform the triplet mom that she has the most beautiful triplets you have ever seen. This will get you in her good graces :) Don't begin with "are those real live triplets?" Of course they are, what else would they be? Dead - now that would be a weird thing to push in a stroller.

3. Before asking the sexes look at the babies closely. Are they wearing blue or pink? All the same thing? Sometimes girls wear blue but boys never wear pink so look closely before declaring what they are. It's okay to ask - it's weirder when you tell me what they are because usually you'll be wrong.

4. Ask knowledgable questions. We like that. I haven't met a mom yet who doesn't like to talk about her kids and her pregnancy. Ask things like "how many weeks were you when you had them?" Congratulate those of us who have gone full term (36 weeks with triplets), sympathize with those of us who did not. Please, please, please don't ask if they are natural or if we took some kind of fertility drug. It's invasive and annoying. Does it even matter how a baby is conceived? Original questions are better! "What are their names?" is a decent choice. Compliment name choice even if you hate it - unless, of course, you are trying to end the conversation right then.

5. DO NOT say that the mom has her hands full. She does. She knows this and she's heard it about a thousand times. It's not original.

6. If there are other kids please acknowledge them. Sometimes triplet is all we have but other times we have older or younger kids and they are as much a part of our family as the triplets so please don't leave them out.

7. Please don't ask if we've seen a certain TV show about multiples. Usually we have but unless it's our TV show it doesn't really apply much to our lives.

8. The only time it's acceptable to tell the triplet mom that you know another set of twins/triplets is if they are closely related to you or are your very close friends. I love to hear from grandparents of triplets - partly because it's cute and partly because I know my parents brag about my girls and I hate the thought of another triplet mom being rude to them! Same goes for my best friends - they know a lot of what goes on in my life - they're here all the time and again I hate the thought of someone being rude to them. But if it's a friend of a friend then it just seems like random talk and you have no idea what else to say.

9. As we are all naturally curious about how multiples interact it's perfectly acceptable to ask personality questions for each baby, how they interact with each other, if they notice each other, how they are doing things differently and/or at a different rate. These are intelligible questions and not too personal. Asking who is oldest is fine.

10. Finally watch the mom for clues as to how much of a conversation she wants to have. Your questions may be new to you but they are not to her and sometimes we are in a hurry. We're not trying to be rude but grocery runs can somteims get very long because of all the stops! So, please be polite to us. And, remember that we are human not freak side shows so we have our good days and bad days and sometimes we want to talk about our kids and sometimes we don't.

Auntie Kara

I just have to tell everyone about my friend Kara...or more commonly known as "Aunt Kara". I am so lucky to have been blessed with her friendship. We've been really close since I was pregnant but it seems like I have known her my whole life. She would come over and sit ALL day with me in my bed (all you other triplet moms know how long those days can be). We would rent a movie but never even start it because we would talk the entire time about absolutely nothing.

After the boys came, I'm sure there were days I would have just rolled up in a ball and cried myself to sleep if it wasn't for her and all of her help. She washs bottles EVERY time she comes over just because she knows I HATE it!

Now for the boys! They love her! It is so cute how they light up when she walks in and I'm so glad I have someone that I can trust 100% with them. They just sit and stare at her when she's around. Last time she was here she told them to take a picture it would last longer, LOL.

I am just really grateful for our friendship, everyone needs an Aunt Kara!

The boys and their food!

These boys LOVE to eat solid food. They much prefer it over their bottle. Their new favorite thing to do is take a big mouth full then blow raspberries at me, its lots of fun! LOL Their new spacesavers have been a life saver! Sean and I can actually enjoy a dinner with out holding a baby because they really like sitting in them. THANKS JENNIFER!! Here are a few pictures!
They are getting SO big!

My Dear Husband and my Living Room :)

Sean was always saying things like, "When we have kids their crap is not going to be all over the house, it will stay in one room" or things like, "Our kids will not spit up", even "Our kids will not throw food".

Well, the boys are now 7 months old and are on a mission to prove him wrong. They are only eating puffs but more make it to our dog Sammee than in their mouths. They spit up more than any child I have ever seen...even in my mouth a time or two. But, the funniest of all... is our living room! Check out the pictures of our new and improved hardwood floor! As he was creating this masterpeice he was just rolling his eye's saying, "I am finishing the basement by the end of next month!" This was my master plan all along, definitely motivation!

My New Camera!

Sean got me a new digital cannon rebel for my birthday...what a good husband. This is the first picture I took with it! I even figured out how to use the timer! Thank you, Sean!

My NANNY!!!

Okay, so I have to tell everyone that I love my new nanny! She is absolutely WONDERFUL with the boys and they love her as well. I'm so glad I found someone I trust with them. I wanted to take a picture of her to post but she told me NO WAY. She said normally she rolls out of bed and walks down to her car and drives here. AHHHH...to be in college again!

I'll have to sneak a picture of her and the boys soon!

How do you stay organized...

I get this question a lot and it makes me laugh. At work I'm extremely organized but until I had my three little monkey's I wasn't the best at home. I am working towards a more organized me...but it is definitely still a work in progress. I am sure it drives my neat freak husband CRAZY. But I don't think my job so far is too bad for a rookie!

Here are pictures of our mudroom and bottles!

Sugarland

Last night me and a couple of girlfriends went to the Sugarland concert at the State Fair! It was a blast. This is my second trip to the fair and it was a great time! Sugarland puts on a GREAT show...I would definitely reccomend seeing them in concert! One more concert this year, Chesney at the new Lucas Oil Stadium then I'm done for the year.

Although my favorite thing in the world is hanging out with my boys, I've really enjoyed my time out with friends at the few concerts we've seen. I come back home feeling so refreshed! I think everyone needs some time to just get away from the stress of day to day life!

I am so BLESSED to have such great friends, three healthy baby boys and a wonderful husband!

Thanks for the Beautiful roses!

Our Anniversary- 4 years

Yesterday was our 4 year wedding anniversary...wow how time flies! Its been 4 amazing years and I look forward to 60+ more with the man of my dreams.

Every year I think back to our wedding and have to laugh a little...

Sean and I decided to get married in Outer Banks, NC. My dad was close to retirement and I didn't want him to feel like he had to pay for a huge wedding so I thought a destination wedding would be PERFECT. Boy, was I wrong. :)

So the story begins...

Sean's mom and dad drove down with us since we were flying out of West Virgina for our honeymoon and they wanted to use our car while we were gone. At that time we had a Jeep Cherokee. I was soundly sleeping in the backseat when I heard squealing tires and woke up to us rear ending a Lexus that in turn rear ended an Expedition driven by a personal injury lawyer. We were all okay but spent several hours on the side of the interstate.

After getting that mess cleaned up we were back on our way...or so we thought. We got lost in the "ghetto"! Sean's mom got out to get our mapquest directions out of her luggage to attempt to get us back on track. We pulled back on to the interstate and when I looked behind us and all I saw was my wedding dress flying down the road as cars were dodging around it trying not to hit what ever was in the big white bag. Along with my dress went some of our luggage and a big canister of nuts...what do you think they tried to save first....my dress....NO the nuts...are you kidding me???

We finally made it to our hotel in the Outer Banks and my mom pulled in behind us. She was crying hysterically and told me that her brother had passed away, unexpected. Her, my stepdad and grandma had to turn around and head back to Indiana. They missed my wedding.

The next morning (day of the wedding) we took off to go to the florist to pick up my flowers. When I arrived and gave them my name they looked at me mortified. They said...I'm sorry Ms. Mack but somehow we lost your ticket and were unable to get your flowers here in time. I ended up carrying a small bouquet nothing like the hydrangeas I had ordered.

As we were heading to the beach house where my dad and stepmom were staying we heard the sound of thunder in the distance. Within minutes the roads were flooded! It wasn't just any storm it was a hurricane. I can't remember exactly but they thought it was going to miss the outer banks but they were wrong. As I arrived at the beach house everyone was throwing up. They don't know to this day if it was food poisoning or the stomach flu but everyone was sick. My stepmom who is a stylist was throwing up as she was doing my hair...GREAT!

Well, the beach was out of the question so we ended up getting married at Sunset Bar and Grill. In almost all of the wedding pictures there is a sysco food and budweiser semi in the background. We finally got married, which is what we came there to do.

I remember his mom saying if you can make it through this you can make it through anything. She was shocked I wasn't crying and asking for a redo. :) I just couldn't help but to laugh. Of course I would have rather had my picture perfect day but who will forget these memories. At the end of the day we were married and that is all the mattered to me.

Happy 4 year anniversary to us!

More pictures from today!

They are such happy guys!

Its been almost a month...

I know I promised to do a better job at keeping this up-to-date and so far I haven't been doing so great!

Anyway, its boiling hot here and we haven't been out much but somehow are still keeping super busy. :) The boys are growing like weeds!

They are so much fun and I love watching them learn new things! We had some playtime this morning and I looked over to see Colter trying to eat Mr. Seal on his Excersauser...this boy will try to eat anything. He actually can fit the entire head in his mouth. While his mouth was stuffed he was screaming DA DA DA DA. They are so funny!
